Luke + Kenzie | Heitman House Garden Party Wedding

When Luke + Kenzie told me they were having a Garden Party Wedding at Heitman House in Fort Myers… I just knew it was going to be something special. The whole day was GORGEOUS. Every detail thought out. From the blush pink bridesmaids dresses, to the parasols we used in the portraits, to the “Flower Box” inspired sewing chart (which was handmade by the bride’s family!!!) - the whole day was so, so special.

This was one of those weddings I know Luke + Kenzie will look back on in 20, 30, 40 years and just cherish every single moment. I felt so honored to be their Florida wedding photographer, and document it as it unfolded.

We started the day with them getting ready for the Garden Party wedding in the suites at Heitman House. It’s such a beautiful and historic venue, it made for really bright & sunny backdrops. Perfect for the theme! The bride and groom got ready separately and opted not to do a First Look. Instead they “met” before the ceremony, around a corner so they didn’t peek, and spent some time reading love letters and connecting together before this big moment in their lives.

The ceremony was waterside, with the beautiful Fort Myers coastline behind them. I loved all the floral details on the arch, and through the aisles. And of course, the parasols that were gifted to the guests.

The garden party wedding vibes were in full swing! I had so much fun capturing every single detail.

After they said “I do” and officially became Husband and Wife (!!!) we snuck away with their wedding party to do some portraits. Make sure you scroll to see these because their friends brought the HYPE. I loved the pure excitement and joy in the air. These two are surrounded by people who love them. It was fun to see their relationship celebrated!

The reception was nothing short of amazing. The newlyweds arrived to the dance floor and were quickly surrounded by their loved ones praying over them. It was a really cool moment to witness before the festivities began. They danced the night away under the stars, and then popped some champagne before their big exit.

Days like this make me so grateful to be a wedding photographer. Knowing these are the moments my couples will look back on for the rest of their lives, and I get to capture them all artistically. It makes me so giddy to think of their coffee table books or images hung on the walls around them as their life moves forward. The day their lives as a married couple began.

So, so grateful.

And Luke + Kenize?! CONGRATULATIONS. Love you guys!!

All florals, rentals, and planning were in-house with the venue: @somethingborrowedswfl @somethingbloomedswfl @soeventfulswfl
