Kagan + Jamie's | Destination Elopement in Moab at Arches National Park

This destination elopement in Moab at Arches National Park was extra special to me because…. it was MY LITTLE BROTHER'S WEDDING!!! πŸŽ‰πŸ€©

Getting to document this special moment for my brother just made me so happy I am a Florida wedding photographer and can bring my gear along to make sure they always have these memories!! My husband and I also did an small wedding (in Hawaii!!), so I know just how special these moments can be. A micro-wedding isn’t the right fit for everyone but if you love non-traditional, small moments with your closest people…it can be a beautiful way to say β€œI do”. I know I LOVED doing it this way!

Kagan & Jamie chose to tie the knot in Moab at Arches National Park, and it couldn’t have been more gorgeous. They were honeymooning at the National Parks in Utah, so this was the perfect location for them. After they shared these special moments with family, they hosted a reception close to their home (my brother’s military base) in Tennessee a month later. So they got the best of both worlds! I obviously picked the same style for my own wedding, so it was fun to see my brother get to have this experience too!!

Kagan and I are two siblings out of 8 kids, but he's the closest to me in age so this was extra special for me. We all gathered together in Moab, and had a casual morning getting ready for the big day. Jamie wore a simple white silk dress that contrasted with the red rock background perfectly. She decided to do a first look with Kagan out at the arches, and his reaction was so fun to see (and get to capture!) We then hiked around a little bit, getting some beautiful photos around the arches. I seriously can’t wait to see these framed in their house!

Afterwards, we all gathered together and Jamie walked into the chosen ceremony space, and these two said β€œI Do!” Their reaction afterward was priceless!! SO MUCH JOY. (And yes, I think most of the family was crying!! haha) These two have been together for over seven years and are high school sweethearts. So it was especially meaningful for the whole family to see them commit their lives to each other.

Kagan and Jamie are both the coolest, most down-to-earth couple ever. Kagan is a Blackhawk pilot in the Army and Jamie is an ICU nurse. They have truly dedicated their lives to helping other people, and now they will always be there to support each other too. I am so grateful they found each other!

The Arches National Park was the perfect vibe for them. I loved walking around with the newlyweds and getting some giddy-we-just-got-married portraits!! We also took a big family shot, and I jumped in for that! See if you can spot me! haha

Kagan & Jamie, it goes without saying (but I’m gonna say it anyway) it was such a joy and honor to capture your day, and I’m so excited for you! Welcome to the fam, Jamie!!!
