Ashley + Nick | Gasparilla Island State Park

When Nick, Ashley & I were brainstorming their engagement session, we pretty quickly thought of Gasparilla Island State Park! I have shot there before (like this session here!), and I just knew we would get that tropical, fun vibe we were going for. And it did not disappoint!

We started up at the old house, shooting with all the fun backdrops. I love all the textures and patterns there! My FAV is the fountain with the colorful tiles… it always photographs so well! I loved that Nick & Ashley brought their pup, Nelson, with them too. He was the star of the show!! 🀩 Seriously, such a sweet dog. And I love love love capturing snippets of my couples real lives in their photo shoots. So yes please to all the pups!

After we wrapped up shooting near the buildings, we walked down to the historic lighthouse on Gasparilla Island State park. It was built in the 1800s and is such a fun feature for any Florida couple.

We took photos on the beach, and these two were so playful and fun! We had an outfit change, which I always encourage my couples to do. It gives us some variety in your gallery, beyond just the backgrounds. I loved their soft pink color palette across both looks - they’ll go really well in an album or hanging on the wall together! It’s all in the details, friends!

We wrapped up their shoot with some more pictures with Nelson and got to enjoy a beautiful sunset on the coast. Days like this make me fall in love with being a Florida wedding photographer. I’ll never get over it!!
